Walking in a Winter Spring

Top: Forever21 / Sweater: Seventh Sister / Trousers: H&M / Shoes: H&M / Earrings: Forever21 / Bag: Mango

I've seen a lot of pictures from other bloggers with snow. Well, here in the Netherlands it's warm. We have spring weather. It's to warm for your coat. Strange thing. No snow this year with Christmas. We didn't had that last year either. But the years before that we had a lot of snow. I love snow! It's gives me a magical feeling to see that everything is white and that the waters are frozen, so we can go iceskating. I miss that kind of winters.

The Holiday Season + Update

Christmas is almost here and I thought it would be a great idea to give you guys a little bit of an update. It's been a while, but I have some great news. Last couple of weeks I have going through a lot of researches in the hospital, but I heard some great news last thursday: I am healthy! I'm so happy. I can leave the last couple of years behind me now and really start my life. For who is following my blog for a long time, they know I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia two years ago. Fortunately, I do not have that. My body was going under a lot of stress and that caused some health problems in my body. I'm finally better now.

This year I'm going to spend Christmas with my family. In the Netherlands we have two Christmas Day's.
Christmas Day 1: we are going to my family and celebrate Christmas with my sister, brother and parents.
Christmas Day 2: my boyfriend is a fireman, so he needs to work. I celebrate that day with a good friend of my.
Christmas Day 3: this year we introduce a third Christmas day and on that day we are going to my parents in law.

I never grew up with Christmas. I'm celebrating Christmas since I am 21. I grew up in a faith that do not celebrate Christmas or any other kind of holiday celebration. But my parents always tried to make the best of it. We didn't had a Christmas tree or presents, but we spent that two days with family and ate a lot. Actually the same what we are doing now.
But I always knew that when I leave that religion, the first thing I wanted to have was a Christmas Tree. So, I did. I wish I could have a Christmas tree all year around. But then it wouldn't be special anymore.

I wish all of you Merry Christmas!

RECIPE: GLUTENFREE M&M's Cookies

Something totally different then fashion, but it's a lifestyle blog. So, it's was time for a recipe. Last year I found out that I have celiac disease. In other words: I have a gluten allergy. I always loved to bake, but after I got diagnosed, I stopped with baking. Because baking glutenfree is totally something different. In May I started to bake a cake for my birthday. It was my first glutenfree baking experience and I loved it. My father is a baker and he was overwhelmed by my cake. I did something good, I think. So, I starting baking again.

Yesterday the daughter of a friend of my came over and she wanted to make cookies. We decided to make this delicious M&M's cookies.  Here is the recipe:

  • 300 gr M&M's
  • 200 gr glutenfree flour. I used the Schär Mix-c
  • 100 gr Caster Sugar
  • 75 gr Sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fiberhusk
  • 1 egg
  • 85 gr butter

Mix the dry ingredients together and add the butter and egg as last. Mix this all and knead this all to a dough. Heat the oven at 180 celcius. Take a baking tray and use baking paper at the bottom. Make small balls from the dough and lay them on the baking tray. Put the tray in the oven and bake the cookies for 18/20 minutes.

Enjoy your cookies!

Olive It The New Black

Dress: Shein c/o (HERE) / Top: H&M / Skirt: Zara (old) / Heels: Forever21 (HERE) / Bag: Ebay

I love this dress from Shein so much. It's the perfect fall colour. The only problem is that it is very sheer. I solved the problem to wear a basic black top and skirt as undergarments. Problem solved!

Some people who follow my blog for a long time, know that I had some medical problems last year. But it was a wrong diagnose. I'm better know and feeling so good and strong. I'm back at school and a psychology student. Finally doing something what I like and getting my life back on track.

The last little bit of summer

Blouse: H&M (sold out, similar HERE) / Trousers: Forever21 (old, similar HERE) / Heels: Forever21 (HERE) / Bag: Ebay  / Earrings: Six / Necklace: Handmade by me (similar HERE) / Sunglasses: RayBan

This is probably one of the last warm days in Holland. So, I thought I need to enjoy this and wear something what is great for summer weather. I wish it could stay this all year around. I'm living in the wrong country for that. Fall is on his way and it will be in no time that I need to wear coats and boots again. I'm a spring/summer girl. The only thing what I like about the winter are the cosy nights with candals on and a cup of hot tea and when it start snowing. That's what I like about the winter.
